Software

The features of the data logging and processing software will be independent of the hardware in the field. There will therefore be no differences between existing buildings and new constructions.
The software will serve two main purposes:
•    to take energy consumption “snapshots” to identify the areas that have the biggest environmental impact and the factors contributing to this impact;
•    to monitor and control energy consumption in order to provide the information necessary to plan modifications and reduce consumption levels and running costs for individual systems or the building as a whole.

The system will ensure clear and intuitive identification of all areas with a high energy impact as well as the causes for that impact, in order to ensure LEED certification and therefore comply with the relevant standards (ASHRAE 90.1 -2007 and, for Europe and Italy, UNI/TS 11300:2008, Legislative Decree 192/2005 modified by Legislative Decree 311/2006, and the Decree of the President of the Republic 59/09).

Acquisition and logging of consumption data
The system will be able to manage real-time data acquisition, data warehousing and configuration processes using a simple, intuitive, table type graphic presentation with clear identification of the different types of data collected for data grouping purposes.

Definition of a forecasting model for building energy consumption. An energy consumption forecasting model will be produced based on standard parameters and algorithms calculated according to a baseline model. Threshold analysis and monitoring functions will allow users to monitor instantaneous consumption values and identify over-limit values and other anomalies.

CUSUM charts
This functionality will enable users to identify anomalous peaks in consumption, and to establish and notify what changes that might have led to anomalous energy consumption.

Energy budgeting
This operation will allow users to plan, formulate and control energy budgets on the basis of the previously prepared forecasting model.

Tariff analysis
This function will simulate the effects of different market offerings on consumption behaviour.

Reporting
This function will provide users with a detailed consumption report and enable them to manage collected data by entering it quickly and easily in LEED Energy and Atmosphere analysis models.

Change simulation and efficiency improvement
By simulating electrical and thermal flow rates for a system (showing the generation of heat and its loss respectively), the software will help users and Energy Managers introduce new systems, optimise management techniques and identify useful modifications to the building envelope.

T-BEST will let you acquire, log and consult instantaneous and previous data on energy consumption for all types of resource (fuel, electrical energy and water).
The reports generated can be distributed to other interested parties via e-mail.
